The primary focus of this test set is not on printing images, but to serve as a representative sample of pages that are typical for consumers. These pages can be used as per ISO/IEC 1998 and ISO/IEC 24711.

The joint technical committee approves draft International Standards which are then sent to the national organizations. In order to be published as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 percent of the national bodies that cast votes.
