ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

The International Standard contains a collection of test pages that are in common file formats that can be used to determine the performance of the cartridge for colour ink and colour toner. The primary focus of this test set is not on printing images, but to serve as a representative sample of pages that are typical for consumers. These pages can be used as per ISO/IEC 1998 and ISO/IEC 24711.
IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) IEC (the International Electrotechnical Council) ISO (the International Organization for Standardization), are the two systems that are specialized for worldwide standardization. IEC or ISO members participate in the development international standards by way of technical committees. They are accountable for specific technical issues. IEC and ISO technical committees collaborate on areas of mutual interests. Additional international organizations, including non-governmental and governmental, are also involved in the activities. In the field of technology for information, ISO and IEC have established a joint technical committee, ISO/IEC JTC 1. The joint technical committee approves draft International Standards which are then sent to the national organizations. In order to be published as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 percent of the national bodies that cast votes.
